Hi,

i can’t update the release yet.

Log:

Custom preupdate script /var/lib/local-preup.sh not found
ERROR: The update to UCS 4.4-2 is currently blocked because
       of a known issue with docker packages (Bug #50259).

Error: Update aborted by pre-update script of release 4.4-2

When will this be fixed?

Not speaking on behalf of Univention, but as customer so Univention certainly has more insight to give:

  • If you look up issue #50259 as referenced in the updater message, you can see that this issue is about blocking the update to 4.4-2 via preup.sh.
  • This issue references #50261 which is where the actual fix is being worked on.

Both issues are currently in state VERIFIED FIXED, but not CLOSED. I can only imagine that Univention will soon-ish release the update blocker since it seems to have passed internal checks so far. I’d expect them to double-check it this time before re-releasing the upgrade scripts eventually unblocking the way to 4.4-2 before 4.4-1 reaches regular EoL.

Another, earlier thread has already discussed this issue and Univention staff has mentioned that we should check back once the bug has reached the status closed. I recommend reading this other thread the 2 linked issues to get more insight.
