Unable to find a default server with Active Directory Web Se

#1

Hi,
When I run this command on one off my domain systems I receive the following error message.
" Unable to find a default server with Active Directory Web Services running"

while Logon to domain devices works well.
Hopefully one off you can tell me how I can resolve this issue!

most likely samba4 domain and powershell answers the question.

That’s the strange issue, I’ve the RSAT tool installed, but when I open an powershell console, and run
[DCpc002]: PS C:\Users\user\Documents> get-addomain
Unable to find a default server with Active Directory Web Services running.
+ CategoryInfo : ResourceUnavailable: (Domain:ADDomain) [Get-ADDomain], ADServerDownException
+ FullyQualifiedErrorId : ActiveDirectoryServer:1355,Microsoft.ActiveDirectory.Management.Commands.GetADDomain

From the link I have posted:

I think those commandlet use the “Active Directory Management Gateway
Service” through the HTTP protocol and webservices (port TCP/9389) [1].
I’m afraid those webservice are not yet implemented in Samba4.

Cheers,

Denis
