Share permissions

Hello.

Could you, please, advice a proper practice in assigning share’s permissions.
First of all, I’m assigning:

But while testing, I got a ploblem - for example, domain user “Jones” creates a text document, but domain user “Claire” can’t overwrite it after editing and can save only in a new file.

Is it right to set?

or there is another way?
So, all I need - create a shared folder for editing any document by any user from certain assigned group.

Hi,

you shoud not give the Domain Users Group rights to the root share, better u set the Domain Admin group there. Then from a Windows PC logged in as Domain Admin group member set the permissions for your Domain users or groups from Windows explorer as you’ll do with windows file server.
