Kopano core install hang by 50% (installing LDAP packages on ...)

Kopano should install on a UCS 4.3 member server (fresh install).
This server is member of a UCS DC Master which joined a AD domain without any problems.
OpenExchanged was installed there but deleted in the meantime via the App Center.

During Kopano install routine, 3 packages should install on the UCS Master.
I think there is the problem but I couln´t identfied by the logs (syslog, messages …).
On both maschines the DHCP + DNS + all “Administrators” & passwords are ok.

Supplement:

LDAP director view (gui) shows no entries for kopano).

What can be the cause of the problem?

Any help is appreciated.

AFAIK you should find the required logging in the appcenter.log (possibly on the master).

I found nothing in the logs - the installation process still hanged/crashed.

Instead, however, I found two modules of a UCS Mail installation on the UCS DC Master that were not properly deleted during gui de-installation process:

  • dovecot-imapd
  • dovecot-core

I know that Dovecot and Kopano can not be installed together.
But the fact that the UCS installation procedure of Kopano crashes on a UCS member server is not ok and should be changed.

That is probably more a topic then for the Univention developers, as the mechanics for installing systems on other nodes come from ucs and are not directly influenced by the app itself.

Installing Kopano on a memberserver should work. Our automated tests did not show any errors with that setup. Please check /var/log/unviention/appcenter.log and univention-management-console-module.appcenter.log on the DC master and memberserver for the specific error message.
