Fehler bei Installation auf AMD FM2.System

Guten Morgen

Ich habe die Testversion installiert, bin dabei allerdings auf einige Probleme gestossen. Systemkonfiguration:

Asus F2A85-M LE mit UEFI Bios
AMD A4-5300 mit onDie Radeon HD7480D Sockel FM2
D3 4GB 1600-999 Ripjaws
WD 250GB WD2500AAKX Blue
Iiyama 21,5 LE2278HSD-GB1

Die UEFI Version des AMD-64 Images lässt sich nur klassisch installieren, wenn ich es per UEFI versuche kommt als Fehlermeldung “File not found”.

Die Installation per Textmodus klappt dann problemlos, nach dem Neustart im Grafikmodus kann ich das System aber nicht lokal bedienen da der Bildschirm wie auf dem angefügten Bild aussieht. Per UMC und Terminal ist das System erreichbar und bedienbar. Andere Einstellungen in der Configutation Registry (andere Auflösung, anderes Timing, anderer Treiber :“radeon” anstelle von “vesa” usw…) haben keine Auswirkung.

Ich würde mich über einen Lösungsvorschlag freuen

am besten einmal die Xorg.0.log und die aktuelle xorg Konfiguration (UCR) posten. Evtl. lässt sich da ein Problem erkennen.
Wenn die grafische Oberfläche nicht gestartet wird (UCR gdm/autostart) tritt das nicht auf?

IMO ist standardmäßig autodetect aktiviert und damit egal was als xorg/device/driver definiert ist.

Der Radeon-Treiber geht nicht da GPU zu neu. Der VESA-Treiber geht nicht da Radeon = KMS :frowning:

Vieleicht reicht es einfach KMS und oder den radeon framebuffer zu deaktivieren?

Also die /etc/modprobe.d/radeon-kms.conf zu ändern bringt gar nix.

Mit nomodeset als Kernelparameter klappt es mit dem Installationskernel. Nach einem univention-upgrade ignoriert der neue Kernel anscheinend den Parameter (ist sicher im GRUB-Menu angegeben) und die Situation ist wieder die gleiche wie vorher. Ohne sonst was zu ändern, nur den Installationskerne auswählen und es klappt. Wenn der Fehler auftritt erscheint nicht mal der Univention Startbildschirm mit der drehenden Windrose sondern gleich der oben gepostete Bildschirm!

GRUB selbst kommt allerdings mit der Grafik zurecht, ein umstellen auf zb 1280x720 fürs Startmenü klappt ohne Probleme.

Alles in allem ist das unbefriedigend und nicht sehr vertrauen erweckend. Denn gerade die Bildschirmansteuerung sollte bei einem Server gar keine Rolle spielen.

hast du nomodeset persistent über UCR konfiguriert? Wenn GRUB mit einer anderen Auflösung keine Probleme hat, könntest du die vermutlich auch einfach über den vga-Parameter setzen.
Um den Start von X zu verhindern kann man das Starten von GDM auch über UCR unterbinden. Die Text Konsole sollte dann ja funktionieren und reicht für Server ja eigentlich aus. Wenn es Grafisch sein muss könntest du XRDP aus dem App Center installieren, das müsste ja vom Grafikchip unabhängig sein.

Ja ich hab das persistent über UCR konfiguriert. Die Kommandozeile steht auch richtig in Kernel.log Der neue Kernel schaltet KMS für die Radeon trotzdem ein und dann geht der VESA-Treiber halt nicht mehr.

Danke für deine Vorschläge, aber ist das wirklich die Lösung? Sorry aber bei einem Kernel der Parameter ignoriert hab ich berechtigte Bedenken ob das wirklich ein System für einen produktiven Einsatz ist. Auch wenn das in Bezug auf dieses eigentlich sekundäre Problem überzogen wirken mag.

Und darüber hinaus : Die Aussage “Die Text Konsole sollte dann ja funktionieren und reicht für Server ja eigentlich aus.” klingt ertstmal nicht sooo daneben. Aber soll ich in Zeiten grafischer Bedienoberflächen von der Bedienung zu den alten MS-DOS Zeiten zurück? Soll ich das Übertragen der Daten von meinem alten Server also per Kommandozeile bewerkstelligen anstatt ber grafischem Dateimanager? Soll ich Bacula mit der Tastatur bedienen? Wer das einmal gemacht hat (Und ich hab es unter OpenSuSE) weiss was ich meine. Und das alles lässt sich noch fortsetzen.

Es geht ja hier nicht drum dass ich will dass der UCS meiner Grafikarte im 3D-Modus das letzte an Performance heraus presst. Sondern nur darum dass ein System das für sich in Anspruch nimmt mir gerade den nebensächlichen Teil der Konfiguration abzunehmen meine Hardware, meinetwegen auf niedrigem Level, aber dafür sicher und bedienbar initialisiert. Und dazu gehört solche Konflikte wie zwischen KMS-Treiber und VESA aufzulösen. Denn SO exotisch ist die Hardware nicht, selbst ein betagtes XP hat keine Probleme ein anständiges Bild hinzubekommen, genausowenig wie ein Windows 8. (Und wie gesagt GRUB kanns ja auch)
