Solved
It turned out to be a Windows10 issue that caused this rather erratic problem.
Changed \HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\LanmanWorkstation\Parameters
RequireSecuritySignature was set to 1 changed it to 0 and it all started to work.
Searching for solutions on internet suggested setting the value 1 which it was already set to, this did throw me of for a while.
However it is now all working.
