Best way to change site settigns

With samba4 we have the ucr variable samba4/join/site

What is the best way to set a site after the a member server already join ?
1- remove server from domain -> set site variable -> join domain again
2- set site variable -> run join scripts with force option
3 - other options?

Hey,

you don’t have to rejoin. Simply use the standard Windows Remote Server Administration Tools (“Active Directory Sites and Services”) and drag & drop your server into the desired site. Here is an explanation from the Samba wiki that even includes screenshots.
