Add Custom Attribute to all Computers

Hello,
i would like to add a custom Attribute to all kind of computers. But there is no way to choose computers in the drop-down-field.

i could choose one by one out of the list but this does not affect ubuntu linux clients.

I'm trying to change an LDAP setting from UMC. I can chose a lot of modules to extend, but the roles Linux and Ubuntu are missing. How can I extend modules to work with the Linux and Ubuntu role? Best, Bernd
